Clin-STAR R01/R21 Grant Writing Group

The goal of the Clin-STAR R01/R21 Grant Writing Group is to develop a supportive community that will help current and former Beeson awardees and other clinician scientists interested in aging research to develop successful R-level grant applications. Each month, those who are interested in presenting can submit a grant at any stage of development (aims page, partially or fully written grant, resubmission, etc). We will coordinate with session leader, presenters and volunteer peer reviewers (other presenters who will be peer reviewers) to find a date and time where everyone can meet for a mock study section in which up to 4 grants will be reviewed by a max of 3 reviewers per grant. In addition to the peer reviewers, each group will also include a session leader (i.e., one senior Beeson alumni or a Clin-STAR leader). Additional groups will be formed based on interest. Individuals are welcome to submit the same grant to multiple sessions for ongoing support and feedback or to submit new grants to different sessions to help develop multiple ideas until they are ready for submission.
