The Clinician-Scientists Transdisciplinary Aging Research (Clin-STAR) Coordinating Center is seeking to fund aging research development and training awards that aim to prepare early career investigators for careers in aging-related research and stimulate new collaborations focused on the development of clinically-relevant aging research projects.

Clin-STAR Mini-Sabbatical Support

Short-term immersion opportunities to learn specific methods or techniques.

Clin-STAR Distinguished Professor in Geriatrics & Gerontology

Sponsored educational and mentorship activities to raise visibility of aging research at annual meeting of non-aging specialty professional societies.

Clin-STAR Visiting Professor Travel Fund

Travel funds to support invitation of a prominent researcher in geriatrics to serve as a visiting professor, especially at institutions lacking robust aging/geriatric programs.

Butler-Williams Scholars Program

Applications are due April 19, 2024.

The Butler-Williams Scholars Program provides unique opportunities for junior faculty, researchers who are new to the field of aging, and postdoctoral fellows to gain insight about research on aging from a number of perspectives. Learn more about the Butler-Williams Scholars Program here.

Medical Student Training in Aging Research (MSTAR) Program

The MSTAR Program provides medical students with an enriching experience in aging-related research and geriatrics, with the mentorship of top experts in the field. Students participate in an eight- to twelve-week (or 2-3 months, depending on the training site) structured research, clinical, and didactic program in geriatrics, appropriate to their level of training and interests. Research projects are offered in basic, translational, clinical, or health services research relevant to older people. More information on this program and how to apply is available here.

Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Research Fellowship on Older Adults with Dementia and other Vulnerable Populations

Deadline: Rolling basis in the fall-winter preceding fellowship start date (July 1 each year)

Hevolution Foundation Scientific Conferences Fund
Deadline: July 31, October 31, January 31, April 30

Proposals for the support of scientific meetings, conferences, and workshops relevant to the mission of the Hevolution Foundation will be considered. Up to $10,000 per meeting may be requested, but the Hevolution Foundation will determine the final amount based on several factors, including but not limited to the number of expected attendees, duration of the meeting, and meeting venue.
